ETPOD (European Training Program on Organ Donationhttps://www.etpod.eu/ was a European initiative to strengthen capacity in organ donation through a Train-the-Trainers model for transplant coordinators. I contributed to the development of educational methods including training needs analysis, program design, continuous follow-up, and full educational course assessment in collaboration with the e-learning coordinator, with a focus on blended and online training for trainers. This included designing and delivering online courses, facilitating face-to-face training in Rome (2010, 2012) and Barcelona (2013), and supporting cross-curricular online learning in tissue banking and advanced therapies. The initiative successfully strengthened educator competencies across Europe, created scalable training capacity, and improved the consistency and quality of organ donation practices, making ETPOD a strong example of impact in medical education.
